NEET MDS 2020 Results Declared; Check out now
New Delhi: The National Board of Examination (NBE) has released the result for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test in Masters of dentistry– NEET MDS 2020 which was held on December 20, 2019.
The results indicating the score obtained by the candidates and their NEET MDS 2020 Rank are attached below: This is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET MDS 2020.

In its recent notice announcing about the results, the NBE clearly stated that each and every question in NEET-MDS 2020 question paper was reviewed by faculty members from the concerned speciality after the conduct of NEET-MDS 2020 to re-check for technical correctness of the questions as well as the answer keys. As per inputs from the faculty members, a total of 2 questions were found to be technically incorrect. Full marks have been awarded to all the candidates for these two questions irrespective of the fact whether these questions have been attempted or left unattempted by the candidates.
In accordance with the minimum eligibility criteria for admission to MDS course as mentioned in the information Bulletin for NEET-MDS 2020, the cut off scores for various categories are as follows:

Cut-off scores will be reviewed, as per Dental Council of India, Master of Dental Surgery Course (1St Amendment) Regulations, 2018 once the exact number of category-wise vacancies are made available to NBE by Dental Council of India.
The merit position for All India 50% quota seats shall be declared separately. The final merit list/category wise merit list for State quota seats shall be generated by the States/UT as per their qualifying/eligibility criteria, applicable guidelines/Regulations & reservation policy".

NEET MDS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various PG MDS Courses under Dentists Act, 1948 (amended from time to time). No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MDS Courses.
COUNSELING FOR MDS COURSES AS PER MDS COURSE REGULATIONS 2017
a. There shall be a common counseling for admission to all post-graduate courses (Diploma/MDS) in all dental educational institutions on the basis of merit list of the NEET.
b. The designated authority for counseling for the 50% All India Quota seats of the contributing States, as per the existing scheme for post graduate (Diploma/MDS) courses shall be the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Further Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India shall conduct counseling for all post-graduate (Diploma/MDS) Courses in Dental Educational Institutions of the Central Government, Universities established by an Act of Parliament and the Deemed Universities.
c. The counseling for admission to post-graduate (Diploma/MDS) courses in all dental Educational Institutions in a State/Union Territory, including dental educational institutions established by the State Government, University established by an Act of State/Union Territory Legislature, Trust, Society, Minority Institutions shall be conducted by the State/Union Territory Government.
d. In case, any dispute arises on such common counselling, the matter shall be referred to the Central Government and its decision shall be final in this regard.
