JIPMER celebrates National Voluntary blood donation 2019-20
Puducherry: To mark the importance of voluntary blood donation, the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is celebrating the annual National Voluntary blood donation month wherein awareness about Voluntary blood donation, Voluntary blood donation camps, rallies and felicitating the donors and camp organizers are conducted.
Speaking on the occasion, the institute authorities stressed that voluntary blood donation is an important step for quality and safe blood which is required to save lives.
The institute organized a felicitation programme for Voluntary blood donors and voluntary blood donation camp organizers on 29.02.2020 (Saturday) at 3rd floor, Conference Hall, Super Speciality Block, JIPMER from 09:30 am.
About 400 Voluntary blood donors and voluntary blood donation camp organizers were felicitated by Dr. Rakesh Aggarwal-The Director JIPMER, Dr. Ashok S Badhe-Medical Superintendent JIPMER, Dr. R. Raveendran-Dean (Research) JIPMER and Dr. Sowdharya- Pondicherry AIDS Control Society.
