COVID 19 Lockdown: JIPMER suspends UG academic activities inside campus, clinical postings

Puducherry: Through a recent notice, the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER) has informed about the suspension of all UG academic activities in compliance with the Union Health Ministry's order in view the coronavirus outbreak.

All the undergraduate academic activities inside the campus including clinical postings are suspended till 14th April 2020. Further notification will be issued in accordance with the advisory from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, stated the notice issued by the JIPMER Dean Academics. This is issued with the approval of the Director JIPMER. 

Moreover, the notice added that the theory and practical/viva-voce send-up examinations for the first, second and final year part I & II MBBS students will be conducted through online Information and Communication Technology (ICT) platforms like Zoom cloud and Canvas LMS. All students are requested to download these apps on their devices and get familiarized.

The revised schedule and other details regarding the send-up examination will be updated on the JIPMER website (https:I/jipmer.edu.inl) shortly.

The students are therefore requested to prepare for their send-up examinations and wait for further instructions from the Dean office.
