On Popular Demand: MCC Extends Round 1 Resignation Date, Details
New Delhi: Good News for Round 1 PG medical candidates, MCC has extended the resignation date.
Through a recent notification, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed regarding the Extension of Resignation Date for NEET PG medical candidates, who participated in Round 1 Counselling.
This has been done in view of several representations from NEET PG medical candidates. The last date to resign from the seat allotted in the Round-1 of Online Counselling for NEET PG 2019 is now extended to 08-04-2019 till 05:00 PM.
Candidates, who wish to resign from their allotted seats in the Round-1 of Online Counselling for NEET PG 2019, can opt out from the seats by logging on to the official website of MCC.
The notification uploaded on the official website of MCC clearly states:
It is for the information to all the candidates and the institutes/colleges participating in Online Counselling for NEET PG 2019 that in reference to numerous requests/representations received from several candidates, the last date to resign from the seat allotted in the Round-1 of Online Counselling for NEET PG 2019 is now extended.
The final/extended last date to resign from the seat allotted in the Round-1 of Online Counselling for NEET PG 2019 is 08-04-2019 till 05:00 PM as per server time.
All such candidates who wish to resign from their seats allotted in Round-1 of Online Counselling for NEET PG 2019, must physically report at the allotted institute/college for the purpose of resignation from their allotted seat.
Allotted Seat Resignation
In case a seat is allotted during the Round-1 candidate may join the allotted institution/college and complete the admission formalities however candidates who have exited from Round I, availing the free exit may participate again in Round-2 after logging in with their earlier Registration details. In case of Free Exit after Round-1, Candidate has to report in person for Resignation / Surrender of the allotted seat to the allotted College within the stipulated time. Failing to do so the seat will not be deemed to be surrendered.
NEET PG Counselling ROUND 2
Candidates eligible for seat allotment in 2nd round would be from one of the following groups:
Group–I: Registered candidates who participated in Round-2 but did not get any seat allotted in the 1st round.
Group-II: Registered candidates, whose 1st round of allotted seat got Cancelled during the document verification on reporting for admission, who have secured seat under reserved quota, due to change of Category from reserved to Unreserved or PwD status from Yes to No, but are still eligible in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions.
Group–III: Candidates who have reported/joined at the allotted institute during the joining period of round-1 of allotment and submitted willingness for participating in second round upgradation as ‘Yes’.
Group- IV: Candidates who exited during Round-1 availing Free Exit can log in again with their earlier Registered details.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) had recently announced the results for the NEET PG 2019 First Round of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling for All India Quota seats for PG medical courses, MD/MS/MCh (6 years)/DM (6 years), for the academic year 2019-2020. Candidates who scored good ranks in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for PG medical courses, NEET PG had participated in the online counselling process for All India quota.
