    Delhi: Kasturba Gandhi Hospital PG Gynaecology Medico commits suicide

    Delhi: Kasturba Gandhi Hospital PG Gynaecology Medico commits suicide
    It is being suspected that the PG Gynaecology medico ended her life after being depressed over the recent demise of her grandmother.



    New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident, a female PG medical student pursuing Gynaecology from Kasturba Gandhi hospital; allegedly committed suicide by injecting herself with a syringe in her hostel room.


    A suicide note has been found from the medico's room wherein she has not held anyone responsible for her death. In the one-page suicide note, she had apologised to her family for taking the extreme step.



    The deceased 26-year-old PG medical student is identified to be a 2nd-year Gynaecology student at the hospital. She hailed from Telangana.

    As of now, it is not ascertained as to why the doctor took the drastic step. However, it is being suspected that the medico ended her life after being depressed over the recent demise of her grandmother. According to the IANS report, the medico had visited Telangana to see her ailing grandmother, who passed away on November 22.



    The tragic incident allegedly happened on November 29th 2019. As per the police statement, her parents had been calling her, but getting no responses, they then contacted a friend who alerted the hospital staff.


    The staff knocked on her door, but when she did not answer, they broke open the door and found her unconscious. She was rushed to the ward and administered emergency help, but she died later, reports

    The police have recovered drips and injections from the suicide spot.





    A case has been registered at the Jama Masjid police station for investigation.
