Agra: The son of a 59 year old deceased admitted to SN Medical College’s emergency wing alleged that his father passed away due to non availability of 'oxygen supply' at the college hospital on Monday. The college authorities however, were quick to deny the allegation.

Amal Kumar Sharma, speaking about his father Rajanish Sharma, said, "I had taken my father to the district hospital, after he complained of difficulty in breathing. From there he was referred to SN Medical College. We had come here around 12 in the noon and the doctors did not pay attention to him."

In fact, five cylinders were brought, but all of them were empty. I have spoken to the medical officer on duty and he has assured me that he will look into the matter," he said. Moreover, I have not received any written complaint from the deceased's kin so far."

The authorities on their part had a different story to tell.
