Kolkata: Two medical superintendents transferred

Kolkata: Two medical superintendents of government-run hospitals were today transferred by the health department, officials said.


Manas Sarkar, medical superintendent-cum-vice principal (MSVP) of SSKM hospital was transfered to Murshidabad Medical College replacing Manimay Mukherjee who is transferred to NRS Hospital as MSVP.


The new MSVP of SSKM is Karabi Boral, officials said.


NRS MSVP Sk Ali Emam is transfered to Bankura Sammiloni Medical College replacing Panchanan Kundu.


Junior doctors at the state-run SSKM Hospital had sat on an 'indefinite strike' demanding proper security arrangements for them following alleged assault of one of their colleagues by relatives of a child patient admitted there.
