TS EAMCET-2 - 50,964 medical aspirants appearing for the exam

Telangana: 50,964 aspirants appeared for the TS EAMCET 2, which also means 90.76% attendance for the medical entrance exam conducted on July 9, 2016. 19,356 candidates took the test from Hyderabad. The test was conducted across 95 centres in the state.


There was no malpractice or any untoward incident reported at any examination centres. However, TOI report implied that at one of the centres there was a mild protest held by the parents. This was because few students were not allowed to enter the examination hall. Elsewhere, there were no cases of students denied entry for latecoming.


Also, there were no reported errors in the question paper. The question paper consisted of 160 multiple choice questions. "No cases of malpractice or errors in the question paper were reported," said Prof N V Ramana Rao, convener Eamcet II, in a statement issued on Saturday.


Officials said that utmost care was taken to prevent malpractice cases of impersonation. Candidate-specific OMRs and nominal rolls with photograph, name and date of birth were prepared. The biometric finger prints along with the photograph of all the candidates were taken in the examination halls. Also, thumb impressions were taken on the filled in online application form and nominal roll in the examination hall for verification.


The test was also conducted amid tight security with a total of 2,340 invigilators, 120 observers, 14 special observers and 95 enforcement officers deployed at the centre. Also, there were police officers and revenue officials guarding as flying squads.


Answer key released


The answer key has been published by the board and can be viewed on http:med.tseamcet.in. Students can raise their objections by 2 pm on July 12 by sending email to: keyobjectionstseamcet2016@gmail.com.


Students have also been provided 1+1 OMR sheets. This will enable them to have a carbon copy of their answer sheet after the test has been concluded.


The appearing medical aspirants for EAMCET-2 are competing for around 2,500 seats on. The results and the ranks of TS EAMCET-2 will be announced on July 14.
