Tripura calls for agreement of work or Rs 50 lakh compensation from MBBS passouts

Tripura: A shortage of 575 doctors in Tripura has initiated the government to insist that medical pass outs from the state’s medical colleges work in the state or pay it a compensation of 50 lakhs.


The Chief Minister while attending 2 medical camp inaugurations brought to light this paucity of medical practitioners in the state. Although there are 2 medical colleges in the state passing out doctors prefer to move out of the state said Deb.


He further revealed that an agreement will have to be signed by students who take admission in the two medical colleges promising to work in the state after completing their education or pay the compensation sum reported North East.
