JIPMER Nursing Entrance : Three disqualified for posting question paper on Whatsapp

Puducherry : The Jipmer administration has disqualified three candidates, who wrote the entrance examination to fill up the posts of Nurses at Jipmer, on charges of posting the question paper on Whatsapp, after the examination.


As many as 18967 candidates applied for 82 posts of nurses at Jipmer and hall tickets were given to 17969. A total of 11024 candidates had appeared for the entrance examination, held on Sunday last at 30 centers here.


After the examination, the question paper was posted on Whatsapp and an enquiry by Jipmer revealed that a person had photographed the question paper on his cell phone and two others had taken away their question papers. Following this, the three were disqualified.


Meanwhile, Jipmer in a statement clarified that two candidates were disqualified for possession of cell phones inside the exam centre and one for taking away the question book.


Denying that the question paper was leaked before the examination, Jipmer said that legal action is being initiated in the matter. Evaluation of the answer sheet is on and the result is expected to be announced shortly, the statement added.
