AIIMS PG July 2020: Notice issued on validity of OBC NCL, EWS certificate

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has informed regarding the validity of OBC (NCL) / EWS certificate for candidates intending to appear for AIIMS PG Entrance Examination for July 2020 session.

The notice clearly states: 

In view of evolving situation related to COVID-19 outbreak and difficulty faced by applicant in getting OBC (NCL)/EWS certificate and submit date of issue in online Final Registration, competent authority has decided to make submission of date of issue as optional in ongoing online Final Registration. Valid OBC (NCL)/EWS certificate issued by competent authority between 05.04.2019 and on or before the date of examination shall be treated as valid certificate for the purpose of admission to PG courses for July 2020 session only.

Candidates may please note that change of category shall not be allowed after payment of registration fee and providing any wrong information may lead to cancellation of candidature.

The revised dates for conduct of the said examination will notified in due course of time through website www.aiimsexams.org.

AIIMS has also postponed the entrance exam for admission to PG Medical and dental courses July session 2020-21.

In the meanwhile, AIIMS has also notified that the Foreign National/Sponsored candidates may also apply for admission to PG courses for AIIMS Rishikesh.

The notice to this effect had clearly mentioned: "With reference to our prospectus of AIIMS PG July 2020 session which was published on 19.03.2020 and subsequent communication received from Academic Section, AIIMS dated 24.03.2020 for partial modifications in the seat position of Foreign National / Sponsored category as notified by the AIIMS Rishikesh. The seat position of AIIMS Rishikesh was published for Sponsored category only in prospectus. It is hereby notified that the Foreign National/Sponsored candidates may also apply for admission to PG courses for AIIMS Rishikesh."

Those Foreign National candidates who have already completed the process of Final Registration and who would like to change the choice of subject/Institute, they can edit at the time of editing of Final Registration from 07.04.2020 to 09.04.2020.
