Telangana: In a tragic incident involving four students from Osmania Medical College who died in the Vijaywada bus accident recently, the students from the college have staged a protest. They were asking for compensation from the government for the family members of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident.

As a part of their protest, the students had boycotted classes holding placards, showing how upset they were with the college authorities and the state government for their failure to declare any ex-gratia payment for the deceased.

It has now been reported over the matter that the strike is over. Dr. B. Prabhakar, principal, OMC, said that the students had agreed to call-off their strike, after an announcement of a compensation of Rs 5 lakh per family.
