Telangana: MGM to be connected globally for online medical advice

Warangal: The MGM Hospital, Warangal will soon be connected globally for international medical advice and lectures of specialists from all over the world. The credit for this goes to 'MGM Hospital Forum' application launched by urban collector Amrapali Kata, on the occasion of 'State Formation Day'. The application is to be funded by Reliance Foundation and Suhrud Applab.


Alumni of MGM and Kakatiya Medical College(KMC) working across the world will offer free Online consultancy to MGM doctors on various diseases and surgeries, reports TNIE.


"This would help doctors in getting advice to treat a disease. This would ultimately help the patients in getting best treatment," said Amrapali


Doctor's during their course of treatment of patients sometimes come across diseases or surgical operations which call for expert opinion. It is then that these online consultancies help them in overcoming difficulties faced by them, said the collector.


KMC students would benefit from the application as they would now have access to lectures of well known specialists from across the globe on their smartphones.


"This facility would help in enhancing the knowledge of a medical students. They could listen to experts in various fields by just downloading the app," she said.


MGM Hospital Forum is a comprehensive application suitable KMC and MGM hospital as its four components- Tele teaching, tele consultancy, News board and crowd funding are of immense use for these facilities.


"Fund your Warangal" is a crowd funding application providing platform for donors to contribute to various district administration projects.


This application would run on Windows, Android and iOS.
