Tanda Medical College: Senior MBBS students told to vacate hostels to prevent ragging of freshers
This decision was taken by the Tanda medical college authorities in order to prevent ragging incidents.
Kangra: In a bid to provide free movement to 125 fresh MBBS students for their first week in the institute as per the directions of the Supreme Court, senior MBBS students of Dr Rajinder Prasad Govt Medical College Tanda, Tanda Medical College were directed to vacate the medical college campus and hostels.
This decision was taken by the concerned medical college authorities in order to prevent ragging incidents. The senior medicos were also directed to remain away for a few days from July 31st to August 7 2019.

The anti-ragging committee meeting which was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Principal Dr Bhanu Awasthi was informed about it.

Dr Bhanu told UNI that in the first month there will not be regular medical education classes of the first-year students however they will be taught, English, Hindi, ethics and other values besides White Coat and White Coat Oath ceremony too will be held in the medical college during this period.
Anti-ragging posters had been pasted in medical college building and hostels for creating awareness among MBBS students.
It was decided to hold an anti-ragging committee meeting on a monthly basis for coming six months.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that two departments of Hepatology and Gestrantology would be established soon at the Tanda Medical COllege to strengthen this Medical College to facilitate the patients of the region so that this Medical College could emerge as premier Medical College of the Country.
