Tamil Nadu: Stir for 50pc reservation for govt doctors for PG seats continues

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Medical Officer Association doctors while staging their protest demanding 50 % quota for government doctors in PG courses let go balloons scribbled with slogans and demands into the sky on Wednesday. It was the 15th day of there protest.


Government Kilpauk Medical College Student's Council sat in protest within the college premises; while the Service Doctors and Post Graduates Association stopped working. The students revealed that as a mark of protest they had stopped going for planned surgeries and attending medical camps, besides absenting themselves from classes


Health Minister, C Vijaya Basker, Health Secretary, J Radhakrishnan, Medical Education Director, Dr A Edwin Joe,and Public Health Director, Dr K Kolandaswamy urged them not to let work get disturbed in government hospitals reports the Indian Express.
