RNT Medical College: MBBS Students into a drinking Brawl leaves many injured

Udaipur: The RNT Medical College students who were having a drinks party on the hostel premises got into a brawl leading to approximately 10 of them getting injured due to the bricks and bats that flew in the air. 2 students are believed to have been injured seriously.

The police from Hathipole Police Station immediately reached the spot on hearing of the brawl, which still on at their arrival. The power was turned off as soon as the students spotted them on campus. The police rounded up two assailants who had just arrived at the scene of a brawl with the intention of bringing further harm. Two others were wheeled into the medical emergency.There was no report lodged from either student group till late night.

According to reports, a drinking party had been organized for senior students in the junior’s living quarters at 8 pm. One of the groups at the party seeing the other making merry got upset and started breaking liquor bottles. Intermittently an MBBS student Mohit came out of the room no 23 and got into an exchange reports Udaipur Times.com.

While from one group Mohit , Gulshan and Deepak were injured, the other group, saw Rakesh injured in an iron rod attack outside the hostel. Rakesh was hit on the head.

Police took Gulshan and Deepak into custody.

Deepak is believed to have been suspended from the hostel and is presently residing in Ashok Nagar. He had come to the hostel in a party organized by Gulshan.
