Haryana to hand over 200 acres of land to MOHFW for AIIMS Manethi: Health Minister Vij

Chandigarh: Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday said that as soon as a chunk of 200 acres of land is available on the portal, the same shall be purchased by the state government and handed over to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the purpose of establishment of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Mr Vij gave this information while responding to the call for attention in respect establishment of New All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at village Manethi in Rewari district on the last day of the Vidhan Sabha session here.

He said that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to set up an AIIMS in various underserved States with the intention to correct regional imbalances in the availability of affordable/reliable Tertiary Health Care Services and also to augment facilities for quality medical education in the country.
