Sharada Institutions to now offer BAMS course with 60 seats

Devinagara: The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course is now going to be offered by Sharada Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital with a total of 60 seats for this academic year 2019-20 to the NEET candidates.

Recently, a unit of Sharada Group of Institutions President Puranik announced that the course recently got approval from the Union Ministry of AYUSH and is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). Accordingly, Sharada Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital will offer BAMS which will be a five-and-a-half-year course with 60 seats from this academic year.

Earlier, the institute authorities had declared about the commencement of five-and-a-half-year Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BYNS) course.

NEET clearance was required for admission to BAMS at Sharada Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital.

Speaking to The Hindu, Puranik said the group is offering professional degree courses in Indian medicine system following demand from students and parents. Both Ayurveda and Naturopathy are the future of medicines and the group has full-fledged and multispecialty teaching hospitals.

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) is a graduate degree course in the Ayurvedic system. This degree is awarded after the completion of 5 years and a 6-month degree program containing the 4 and 1/2 year academic session and a one-year internship program with live practical.

Sharada Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital is approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine [CCIM] & Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.

The Sharda Ayurvedic College Devinagar provides a good ratio of well trained and highly educated faculty members equipped with all the modern technology. It also provides sufficient numbers of non-technical staffs to provide an ambience of self-learning to the students.
