Russian varsities offer 500 medical seats to Indian students
Aimed at boosting ties between the two countries, Russian Universities would offer 500 seats to Indian students taking up medical courses in that country, an official said.
"Russian Universities will offer 500 medical seats to Indian students. Compared to last year, there is an increase of 40 per cent in number of seats allocated to medical aspirants of India", Russian Federation in South India, Consulate General, Vice-Consul, Yury S Belov said.
Detailing about the Russian Fair scheduled to be held in city on May 13 and 14, he said 12 Russian Government institutions including those offering medical, engineering would take part, a press release said.
The Fair, in its 18th edition, would be conducted by Cultural Department of Consulate General of Russian Federation in South India in association with Study Abroad.
About 63 medical universities in Russia are recognised by Medical Council of India and listed in the Directory of Medical Schools of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
