Recognition given to MBBS degree at 28 medical colleges by Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has recognized the medical qualifications of the 28 medical colleges for the MBBS course for the year 2017-18.

The recognition that has been granted to an undergraduate course for award of MBBS degree shall be for a maximum period of five years, upon which it shall have to be renewed.

The procedure of renewal of recognition shall be same as applicable for the award for recognition.

Failure to seek timely renewal of recognition as required shall invariably result in stoppage of admissions to. the concerned undergraduate Course.

3Hemchandarya North Gujarat University Patna, Bihar MBBS This shall be a recognised medical qualification when granted by Hemch andarya North Gujarat University, Patan in respect of students being trained at GMERS Medical College, Dharpur, Patan, Gujarat with annual intake of 150 MBBS students on or after January, 2017.
4 Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Surat, Gujarat MBBS This shall be a recognised medical qualification when granted by Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat in respect of students being trained at GMERS Medical College, Valsad, Gujarat with annual intake of 150 MBBS students on or after January, 2017.
5 Gujarat University Ahmedabad, Gujarat MBBS This shall be a recognised medical qualification when granted by Gujarat University, Ahmedabad in respect of students being trained at GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, Gujarat with annual intake of 150 MBBS students on or after January, 2017.
6 The West Bengal University of Health Sciences Kolkata, West Bengl MBBS This shall be a recognised medical qualification when granted by The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata in respect of students being trained at Malda Medical College & Hospital, Malda with annual intake of 100 MBBS students on or after February', 2016.
7 West Bengal University of Health SciencesKolkata, West Bengal MBBS This shall be a recognised medical qualification when granted by The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata in respect of students being trained at Murshidabad Medical College & Hospital, Murshidabad with annual intake of 100 MBBS students on or after Feb., 2017
