Punjab: Guru Nanak Dev University signs MoU with NIPER

Amritsar/Jalandhar: An MOU has been signed between the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University and National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Mohali. The MoU's objective is to join hands for research in the development of new drugs and update students on latest developments in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.


The MoU was signed in the presence of Prof. (Dr). Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kamaljit Singh, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. K.S. Kahlon Registrar, Prof. Narpinder Singh Director Research, Prof. S.S. Chimni Professor-Incharge PR and other senior faculty members of both the institutes.


While Dr. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Head & Coordinator University Industry Linkage Program signed the MoU on behalf of the University Professor Raghu Ram Rao, Director , NIPER, Mohali put pen to paper behalf of NIPER.


Synergetic collaboration and academic program in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences is to be developed by the two universities through it. Research programs for funding by National and International Agencies are also to be worked upon by the institutes.


Dr. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Coordinator University Industry Linkage Program said that quality education to the society was being provided by the University for the past many years. He reiterated the university's commitment to becoming the center of excellence in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research reports Punjab News Express.
