Puducherry: Mop up couselling for PG medical admission to be held on Friday

Puducherry: The Centralized Admission Committee (Centac) of the state government would go ahead with the mop up counseling for PG medical course to fill up the vacant management (minority) quota on Friday.

Health secretary Dr Candavelou in a release on Thursday said the interim stay on the government order dated April 4 this year could not be vacated, despite earnest and bonafide efforts taken by the government.

Since, the PG admissions have to be completed on or before May 18, as stipulated by the Medical Council of India and confirmed by the Supreme court, the Centac may take necessary steps to conduct the mop-up counselling to fill up the the unfilled management (minority) quota seats on All India NEET merit list basis.
