Kerala : Prospectus approval granted to two SF dental colleges

Kochi: The International Institute of Dental Sciences and KMCT Dental College, Kozhikode have been granted prospectus approval by the Admission Supervisory Committee. With an intake strength of 100 students each, the two colleges can receive online applications for Management/NRI quota seats till 19^th September,2016.

Though the KMCT prospectus shows the Dental College as admitting students on the basis of NEET ranking, the college has yet to make seat sharing arrangements with the Kerala government. On the other hand, the Century International Institute of Dental Sciences has already entered into seat sharing with the Kerala Government. Under this arrangement 50% seats are to be allotted by the CEE on government merit quota from the KEAM rank list; while the remaining 50% are to be conducted by the management.

Of this 50%, 35% are to be from the NEET ranking list, while 15% are to be under the NRI category and admission being from the NEET ranks. Complaints regarding list of selected candidates published on the college and the ASC website may be registered with the ASC, which shall take up the grievance immediately.

The collection of special fee, hostel and mess fee are to collected separately by the dental college. However, the same would be regulated by the FRC.
