RML Hospital gears up to host 10,000 medicos at Revels 2019

New Delhi: The renowned, PGIMER and Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital ( RML Hospital), New Delhi is going to host an Annual Cultural and Sports Festival, Revels 2019.

The event, in media partnership with Medical Dialogues, will take place from January 27 2019 (Sunday) to February 2 2019 (Saturday).

The event has been organized by the Resident Doctors Association of the medical institute and is expected to see the footfall of at least 10,000 medicos coming from all over the country.

Near about more than 7 states’ medical colleges have confirmed their participation in the fest including medical institutes from Delhi, Dr RML Hospital, AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, Lady Harding Hospital, Maulana Azad Medical College, Ganga Ram Hospital. Medicos from UP medical colleges, Santosh Medical College, Shardha Medical College and Sarswati Medical College will also be present. Medicos attached with PGIMER, Rohtak; Ambala Medical College, Punjab; Jaipur Medical College, Rajasthan will also take part in the fest.

The event will commence with its inauguration by the Chief Guest. On day two, the participants will take part in cheerful sports and fine art activities including Cricket, Face painting, volleyball, just a minute dance, badminton, signature competition etc.

The third day and fourth day will see all sorts of competitions in dance, singing, fashion show, band performances and both nights will end with playing Cricket.

Day 5 will be inaugurated by Union minister and a known celebrity; followed by comedy standup, band performance and miscellaneous acts.

The sixth day, a cabinet minister will inaugurate all the activities. Popular Bollywood Singer Jubin Nautiyal will give a live performance at the event followed by the prize distribution ceremony by honourable Chief Guest.

Revels is a cultural and sports activity to provide an opportunity for doctors, who are fore-runners of patient care, to relieve their stress and express their talents. events like this have served as launching pad for talents like Miss World, Ms Manushi Chillar, Dr Palash Sen, founder of the popular band “Euphoria” etc.

Speaking to the Medical Dialogues, Federation Of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) National President, Dr Sumedh Sandanshiv, who is one of the organizers of the event, said, “For the first time, Revels will be a national event seeing participation from over 10 thousand medicos. This event will have a live performance by Popular Singer Jubin Nautiyal and fun games and competitions and many more. The participants who will win games and other activities will also be awarded at the event. We hope this fest becomes a great success."
