PGIMER releases result date for MD, MS 2020 entrance test

Chandigarh: PG Medical Candidates, who have applied for MD and MS courses January 2020 Session at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) are requested to check out the result date of MD, MS 2020 entrance test held on 30.11.2019.

It is hereby informed to all the candidates who have appeared in MD/MS entrance test held on 30th November 2019 that the result of the entrance test will be displayed at PGI official website on 09th December 2019 (Monday).

The notice clearly states that the correction window for uploaded documents was opened on 17 & 18 November for the candidates who had uploaded the wrong or un-attested documents in the application form of MD/MS entrance test. Yet, many queries are being received in this office regarding the correction of uploaded un-attested documents in MD/MS application form.

 

It is also informed that admit card for MD/MS entrance may be downloaded w.e.f. 24th November up to 30th November 2019.

Earlier, the PGI Chandigarh had informed about the rescheduling of the entrance test timings. “The timing of the test has been changed from 09:00-12:00 hours to 15:00-18:00 hours due to administrative reasons,” the institute had stated.

MERIT LIST & MINIMUM CUT-OFF PERCENTILE

A combined merit list based on the percentile obtained by all the candidates appearing in the entrance test (irrespective of their category) and applying the above method for resolving ties shall be prepared. The candidates with minimum cut-off percentile in the entrance test as mentioned below against each category will qualify for admission:

 Open (General)/ OCI and Sponsored/Deputed: 55th percentile
 OBC, PwBD, SC/ST, Rural Area, Foreign Nationals: 50th percentile
 Bhutanese Nationals: 45th percentile

Candidates from reserved categories are also eligible for general category seats (open seats).Thus, in addition to category wise list; a combined merit list of all the candidates will also be prepared.
