PG Medical, Dental Counselling 2019: WBUHS issues notice regarding change in Round 2 schedule

West Bengal: Through a recent notification, West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) has informed about the change in the schedule of the 2nd round of NEET PG/MDS 2019 Counselling.


The notice uploaded on the official website of WBUHS clearly states, "In the Notice regarding the schedule of Second Counseling of NEET PG / MDS 2019 vide University Memo No.: OG I WBUHS 2019-20 /0109 Dated: 11 / 04 / 2019; the dates of Publication of seat matrix, Choice filling, Publication of Result, Release from the admitted institute in round 1 and Admission in the respective institute in Round 2 are hereby kept in abeyance."


The notice goes on to add, "However, Online Surrender, Pre Counseling Enrollment online, Verification in WBUHS will be conducted as per Notification cited as above."


The University further informs that the revised time schedule about Publication of seat matrix, Choice filling, Publication of Result, release from the admitted institute in round 1 and Admission in Round 2 will be published soon.


Earlier the Medical Dialogues reported about the PG Medical and Dental admissions under the state quota for those candidates who have cleared NEET PG 2019 and NEET MDS 2019 respectively.

Eligibility criteria for West Bengal State quota seats in PG Medical/Dental 2019:-


State Government vide its Memo no HF/O/MERT/570/2H-06/14 dated 12,2014 and subsequent vide no. HF/0/MERT/1588/2H-06/14 dated 04.12.2014 and in pursuance of the order of Hon'ble Calcutta High Court vide WP no 32902 of 2015 dated 15.1.2015 defined the eligibility criteria for applying as "Open Category candidates" for State Quota sêats. Those candidates who are enrolled in the NEET PG 2019/NEET MDS 2019 application as either have passed MBBS/BDS from the State of West Bengal respectively ar have stated that permanent residence state 1s West Bengal will only be considered as Open category candidates for State quota seats provided the relevant documents .of the respective candidates .are found to be appropriate during physical verification (See annexure-I for further instructions).


Any Open category Candidate who has been already pursuing PG Degree or PG Diploma or any other course in any Institution/ college under any University is not eligible for taking part in counselling unless the course training period ends latest by 30.04.2019 and she/he is free from all encumbrances from the execution of indemnity bond by 30.04.2019. The Open Category Candidate after completion of PG Degree or Diploma course must render service In this state for a period as decided by the Dept of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of WB.
