Odisha: Answer sheets of students at Hi-tech medical college disappear
Rourkela: In a surprising incident, the answer sheet of many 2nd year students at the Hi-tech medical college have allegedly disappeared. Disgruntled students are now blaming the Sambalpur University for the disappearance.
OdishaTV reports that 153 answer sheets of VIMSAR and 100 of Hi-tech students were sent to the university for evaluation. These answer sheets were then send to two evaluators by the university. However, one of the evaluators reported of receiving 62 less answer sheets of the pharmacology paper.
“There were 253 answer sheets each for the two branches of Pharmacology which we sent to two evaluators. While we received all the marks form one evaluator, we didn’t receive marks of 62 answer sheets from the other evaluator. We will immediately send a letter to them to inform how many answer sheets they received and evaluated,” said examination controller of the Sambalpur University Sishir Kumar Swain.
Angry students are demanding accountability by the university. Many have written to the university demanding why their results have not been published
“It is the negligence on the part of Samabalpur University authorities. We want to know why our results are not being published. We can breathe easily if we are informed when our results will be published,” said a student Abhishek Patnaik told Odisha TV.
Meanwhile the university has lodged an investigation into the matter
