New charitable hospital and Medical College to be set up: Wakf Board

Hyderabad: The Wakf Board Telangana state is planning to start a charitable hospital and a medical college for poor Muslims. The Board’s second meeting at Haj House discussed the proposal. It was presided over by the Wakf Board's Chairman Mohammad Saleem.


The chairman addressing the media said that the board would start a medical college after discussing the issue with the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.


He also elaborated saying that the Wakf Board planned to give financial support to poor Muslims suffering from heart and Kidney ailments.He promised to issue pensions to widows and divorcees on a monthly basis. He informed that the Board’s Chief Executive Officer was preparing a proposal for it.


Saleem stated that an order issued by the previous CEO in December last, extending the term of Mutawalli of Dargah Yousufain, Abul Fateh Syed Shah Hasan Shabbir Mohammed Al-Hussaini, for three years, had been set aside by the Board. The Mutawalli’s term will end in July this year , he added.


The Guttala Begumpet Masjid is also to be taken over by the Wakf Board Management.This decision he said had been taken to protect properties worth several hundred crores


The Wakf Board, Chairman further said that global tenders would be called in to give on commercial lease Waqf properties in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy for a 30 year period.


He revealed that tenders were also being called for renovation of Haj House. Similarly, tenders will also be called for hundi of Dargah Hazrath Janpak Shaheed, Dargah Hazrath Jahangir Peeran, and Dargah Bada Pahad he added, reports Hans India.
