NEET PG 2019: Important Things to Remember for the Exam Day

New Delhi: With the NEET PG 2019 exam all set to take place on Sunday, 6th January, candidates while heavy with the knowledge preparation must be aware of the Do's and Dont's for the D-day

The entrance examination, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduation courses (NEET PG) is the gateway to PG medical courses in the country such as Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) as well as PG Diploma courses.

Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents:
(Unfair means case shall be registered against the candidates submitting false/ forged documents.)
• The printed copy of the Admit Card with Photo of the candidate pasted on it; &
• Photocopy of Permanent / Provisional SMC/MCI registration*, to be retained by the test centre &
• Anyone of the authorized photo IDs** (must be original, valid and non-expired)
i. PAN card
ii. Driving License
iii. Voter ID
iv. Passport
v. Aadhaar Card (With photograph)

"In case, any candidate reports to the test centre with an e-Aadhaar card with Aadhaar number printed on it as proof of identity, the e-Aadhaar card should be a good quality colour print out with the clearly visible photograph. The photograph should not have kinks, scratches and stains, and should definitely match with the candidate presenting the e-Aadhaar card. The decision of NBE in this regard shall be final".

* Indian/OCI citizen who have obtained their Primary Medical Qualification outside India and do not have SMC/MCI registration should bring their original screening test pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead.

Foreign Nationals who are desirous to appear in NEET-PG are required to bring their passport (original & valid) to the test centre along with any other documents as a proof of they being a medical practitioner in their country.

** The name on the photo identification must match with the name as shown on the Admit card. If the name has been changed due to events such as marriage; candidate must show the relevant document at the time of the exam.

Candidates may kindly note that they have to report by the time as indicated in the admit card and para 6.2 of this Information Bulletin. Candidates reporting late or beyond the prescribed time shall not be allowed to appear in the exam. Candidates are advised to acquaint themselves with the test centre location one day prior to the testing day and ensure that they report to the test centre within the prescribed time.

TEST CENTRES FOR NEET PG 2019

There are 148 cities where NEET PG 2019 is going to be held.

• Candidates may note that late entry to the examination premises is not permitted under any circumstances. NBE shall not be responsible for any delayed arrival of the candidate in reaching the centre due to any reason.


• All candidates at the centre shall be frisked by security guards and biometric information shall be captured.


• Identity checks will be made upon arrival at the test centre to ensure that there are no unauthorized candidates appearing for the test. Candidates are required to cooperate with the security checks.


• Please note that only the registered candidates will be allowed at the examination centre.


• Friends or relatives accompanying the candidates will not be allowed entry in the test centre under any circumstances and will not be allowed to contact the candidate while the examination process is ongoing.

The candidate who fails to report to the reporting counter by the stipulated time as indicated above shall not be allowed to enter the examination premises that is Reporting counter and beyond. The candidate should arrive at the Reporting counter at least two hours before the commencement of exam i.e. 01:30 PM.

This allows for security checks, identity verification, image capture, biometric capture etc. The reporting counter will close 30 minutes prior to the exam start time.The following shall be undertaken upon reporting at the counter:

• ID verification – The original documents as has been indicated in Para 8.5 will be checked in the original. All candidates at the centre shall be frisked by security guards.


• Capture of left thumbprints – The left thumbprints of all candidates shall be captured electronically and candidates are requested to cooperate with the on-duty staff with this process.


• Capturing of the digital image – As a security measure, digital image of the reporting candidates shall be captured and taken on record.


• The invigilator /on duty staff shall guide the candidate to the assigned workstation.


• Kindly note that the reporting time has been indicated to timely complete the foregoing activities as well as to familiarize the candidate with the process.


• Candidates may note that they will not be allowed entry to the test centre after 3:00 PM.


• Candidates are also advised to check the requirement for mandatory documents on Testing Day and comply with the same.


• NBE / Test centre / Designated Agency / Staff on duty shall not be liable under any circumstances for delayed reporting and/or non-presentation of mandatory documents.

Candidates will not be allowed to take the following items inside the examination centre under any circumstances. All the candidates will be subjected to compulsory frisking before entering the examination centre:

• Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), notes, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, etc.


• Any electronic device like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, wrist watch/Health Band, Calculator, Electronic Pen/Scanner etc.


• All ornaments like bracelets, Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Necklace with pendants, Badge, Brooch etc.


• Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap etc.


• Any eatable item opened or packed, soft drinks, water bottle etc


• Any other item which could be used for unfair means, for hiding communication devices like wireless/Bluetooth device, spy camera etc.

No arrangement will be made at the centres for keeping any articles/items belonging to the candidates. In case any candidate is found in possession of any of the barred items inside the centre, it will be considered as use of unfair means and action will be taken against the candidate in accordance with the relevant provisions. To avoid any hardship candidates are advised not to bring such items along with them at the test centre.

Left/Right thumbprints and photographs of all the candidates will be captured and candidates are requested to cooperate with this essential activity to avoid any cases of impersonation. This is a security feature which will also ensure that only genuine and bonafide candidate appear for the exam and allowed to join an institute for training.

ID verification – The original documents as has been indicated in Para 8.5 will be checked in the original. All candidates at the centre shall be frisked by security guards.

Please Note: All candidates are required to cooperate with the above-mentioned security measures at the test centre. This will help in preventing any use of unfair means and will be instrumental in maintaining the sanctity of the examination. Any candidate not adhering to the aforementioned security measures will not be allowed to take the test.

• After verification of Identity and biometrics, candidates will be escorted to the designated computer terminal at the examination centre and an invigilator checks in the candidate.


• Candidates are required to keep their admit card and photo identification at all times during the conduct of the examination.


• Candidates are required to listen to the invigilator's instructions to begin the test.


• No rough paper for any rough work shall be provided at the centre.


• Each workstation will be blocked on three sides – front, left and right. Candidates are advised not to look around at other candidates as peeping into the computer monitor screen of the other candidate(s) will be considered as use of unfair means and may lead to cancellation of candidature. Please also note that there will be surveillance cameras
  that record video.


• Any suspicious or disruptive behaviour on part of the candidate may lead to cancellation of candidature.


• For any issues during the test, the candidate may raise his or her hand to notify Invigilator.


• In case of any disruption, rest assured that a registered candidate will get to test again within the testing/examination window.
