NEET PG 2020: NBE opens Edit Window for application forms

New Delhi: Providing a golden opportunity to PG medical aspirants who somehow made errors while filling up their NEET PG 2020 application form, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has activated the edit window


The NBE received the applications from 1st November 2019 to 21st November 2019. Now, candidates who had mistakenly put any inaccurate information in the online application forms for NEET PG 2020 can edit their application forms at the official website of NBE.

An 'edit window' shall be opened from 3rd to 7th December 2019 for updating selective editable information to applicants who have successfully applied during the aforesaid application window. New applications cannot be submitted during the edit window.


National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for entrance to PG medical courses– NEET PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the only gateway for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses across the country. This year, candidates who are vying for admission to DNB Post MBBS will also have to appear for NEET PG 2020.

As per the NBE, no separate DNB CET shall be conducted for admission to DNB Post MBBS (Broad Specialty & Direct 6 Years Superspecialty) Courses.

The following information in the application forms cannot be edited during the 'edit window':


 Name of the Candidate
 Mobile Number
 Email ID
 Testing City
 Nationality


Requests have been received from applicants to allow updation in following fields due to incorrect entries made by the applicants:


1. Date of Birth
2. Gender
3. Category of the Candidate
4. Physical Disability Status
5. EWS status


The applicants shall, therefore, be able to edit these 5 fields as well within the 'edit window'.


5. Photographs, Signatures and Thumb Impression should only be uploaded as per prescribed Image upload guidelines.


6. Submission of incomplete applications, incorrect information, upload of illegible/unclear/incorrect images shall invite rejection of applications.


7. Please be apprised that NBE does not edit /modify/alter any information entered by the candidates at the time of online submission of application form under any circumstances.


8. Communication Protocol: For any query/clarification/assistance related to NEET PG 2020 admission session, please write to NBE only at neetpg@nbe.edu.in or NBE Candidate Care helpdesk at details indicated in NEET PG 2020 Admission Session information bulletin.


9. The email addressed to NBE should mention the name of the sender, application ID, correspondence address and mobile number. Emails sent at any other email IDs shall not be processed.

NEET PG 2020 Registration

Candidates can register for NEET-PG through an online portal from 1st November 2019 to 21st November. 2019. Candidates can choose the exam city through the online registration system on first come first serve basis.

Examination Fee

General/OBC Candidates 3750/-

SC/ST/PWD/(PH) Candidates 2750/-

The fee for the examination has to be remitted through payment gateway, at the time of online submission of the application form, using a credit card or debit card issued by Banks in India or through internet banking.

How to pay
The prescribed exam fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or through Internet Banking. For more information, please visit the website (www.nbe.edu.in).

Candidates remaining absent from the examination or declared ineligible will forfeit their examination fee. Candidates are advised to read the rule position carefully and satisfy the terms and conditions for the fulfilment of eligibility criteria before proceeding for payment of fees.

FEES SHALL NEITHER BE REFUNDED NOR CARRIED FORWARD IF THE APPLICATION FOR NEET-PG 2020 IS REJECTED/CANDIDATURE IS FOUND TO BE INELIGIBLE OR CANDIDATE IS UNABLE TO APPEAR IN THE EXAMINATION

Syllabus: The syllabus for NEET-PG shall comprise of subjects/knowledge areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India. Kindly refer to the MCI website www.mciindia.org for the complete document.

NEET-PG shall be a multiple choice questions exam delivered on a computer-based platform (CBT).

The examination comprises of 300 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted is 3hr 30 min. The question paper shall be divided into 3 parts (Part A, B and C) each containing 50, 100, 150 MCQs respectively. The distribution of MCQs in these parts shall be as per para 7.

Negative marking: There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions

During the examination, candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review which means that candidate has been given an option to go through these questions again before the examination time ends. Candidates may note that such questions which are marked for review shall be evaluated as per the marking scheme indicated above.
