NEET PG 2019 lowered Cutoffs: TN Health issues notice regarding applications submission; Details

Tamil Nadu: Through a recent notification, the Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare Department (TN Health Tamil Nadu) has informed regarding the application submission for PG medical courses in view of the newly lowered NEET PG cutoffs.


The last date for submitting the application is today till 3 PM.

Candidates, who are seeking admission to MD and MS courses 2019 2020 session in Rajah Muthiah Medical college and self-financing Medical Colleges under Government Quota & Management Quota can update themselves with the notice mentioned below:




Keeping in view of the revised cut off score issued by the NBE with MaHFW letter F.No.11012/5/2009-ME(P-I) dated 07.05.2019 in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the candidates who have become eligible by revised percentile released by National Board of Examination and not applied before for General Category cut off score between 339 and 313, for SC/ST/OBC cut off score between 294 and 270 and physically challenged cut off score between 316 and 291 can download the application from 14.05.2019 to 15.05.2019 at 3.00 P.M. and submit filled in application along with necessary documents and Demand Draft for Rs. 3000/- for Government Quota and Rs. 5000/- for Management Quota in person to the Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk Chennai 10 on or before 15.05.2019 at 3.00 P.M.


The existing vacancy position in Rajah Muthiah Medical College and Self-Financing Medical Colleges under Government Quota and Management Quota is readily available in our official website www.tnmedicalselection.org, www.tnhealth.org



The candidates who are willing to take the seat in the above existing vacancies should appear in person along with original Certificates/documents with a processing fee for Rs. 1,0001-(Rupees one thousand only) and tuition fees as mentioned in the prospectus for the year 2019-2020 on 16.05.2019 at 10.00 A.M.


Earlier, TN Health department asked the candidates, who intend to secure admission to Post Graduate Degree/Diploma Courses under the in-service quota, to submit their representation in the prescribed format on the classification of the areas for awarding incentive marks.

The incentive marks will be awarded to the in-service NEET PG candidates for their service rendered in the remote difficult rural areas for admission to Post Graduate Medical Courses by considering their working places.

The details of incentive marks earmarked to the in-service Medical Officers are as follows:-
1. Difficult Areas in Hills: 10 % of marks per year
2. Difficult Areas in Plains: 9 % of marks per year
3. Remote Area: 8 % of marks per year
4. Rural Areas: 5 % of marks per year
5. Urban Areas (Municipal /Corporation Areas): No incentive marks

The notice stated
The stakeholders, if interested in the re-classification of the areas should submit their representations in the prescribed format furnished in the official websites to "The Additional Director of Medical Education/ Secretary, Selection Committee, No. 162, Periyar E.V.R.High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai-10 so as to reach on or before 31.05.2019 by 5.00pm.
