NEET PG 2018 to have negative marking

New Delhi: In an important development for Medical PG aspirants across the country, National Board of Examinations, examination body in charge of conducting NEET PG 2018 has announced that the exam shall have negative marking


The announcement by the organization has stated the following pointers


1. NEET-PG 2018 shall be conducted by NBE on computer based platform.
2. The examination will be conducted on a single day in single session i.e. all candidates will
be taking the same question paper.
3. There shall not be any equating or scaling of the marks obtained by the candidate.
4. The scheme of award of marks will be as follows:


i. Correct Response- 4 marks
ii. Incorrect Response- (-1) marks
iii. Unattempted Question- Zero mark


The Information Bulletin for NEET-PG 2018 will be uploaded on NBE website in due course.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that Prime Ministers office in response to an RTI had made it clear that this year NEET PG and NEET MDS will be held as a single session exam, to ensure a level playing field for all aspirants

Moreover, NBE through an earlier notice had made Aadhaar Number mandatory for the purpose of security of exams.
