A case of fake mark sheet being submitted by a female student has come to light during the admission process underway by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot

The case surfaced when the university officials observed that a girl from Ludhiana had submitted a mark sheet carrying inflated scores. Her actual mark sheet according to the NEET website showed a score of 477 and the one submitted reflected a fudged score of 577 marks.

A case of fraud has been registered by the varsity officials

As per reports, online counselling for admission to a nursing course at the varsity commenced on July 20.

"The authorities have learnt that it is not a single case and many other candidates might have been roaming with such fake certificates with ulterior motives," revealed BFUHS, Registrar SP Singh the in a recent HT report.

"On verifying and comparing the result sheet from the official website of NEET 2017, it became amply clear that the candidate procured a forged/fake result sheet. Instead of admitting the same as forged, father of the candidate offered money as illegal gratification for helping them out of the way," read the official's complaint.

"NEET-2017 marks of the candidates should be verified by original login on computer from the website cbse.neet.nic.in. This should be minutely matched and verified with the result card of the exam that candidates submit," the university's note adds, according to HT.

The National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 admissions have taken off in various colleges reports India Today Education.
