NEET 2019: NTA reopens Correction Facility; Details

New Delhi: Through a recent notification National Testing Agency (NTA) has informed about the reopening of Correction Facility for candidates who need to change their Particulars in the Online Application Form for NEET 2019 before the declaration of result.


Candidates, who accidentally submitted incorrect data during the application process, now have the chance to correct it to make their data error-free. The correction facility already opened from 27/05/2019 and it will close on 31/05/2019, 5.00 PM. Candidates who need to correct their particulars in the Online Application Form can do so by 31/05/2019, 5.00 PM.


The notice uploaded on the official website of NTA, clearly states that;



It is brought to the notice of the candidates of NEET 2019 that the facility for correction in the particulars in the Online Application Form will be once again operational on the website https://ntaneet.nic.in/Ntaneet/Welcome.aspx from 27/05/2019 to 31/05/2019(upto 5.00 P.M.). The candidates are advised to visit the website and verify their particulars and make necessary corrections where ever required.

The candidates are allowed to undertake corrections, if any, latest by 31/05/2019 (up to 5.00 P.M.). Thereafter, no correction in particulars, whatsoever, will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances. The correction is being allowed in the following fields:

  • Father's Name

  • Mother's Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Gender

  • Category


Since, it is a onetime facility extended to the candidates to avoid any hardship to them, the candidates are informed to undertake the correction(s) very carefully as no further chance will be given.

The largest entrance examination for Under-Graduate (UG) medical courses, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the gateway for admissions to medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH courses in the country. NEET 2019 will be conducted on 5th May 2019, as per regulations of the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 and the Dentists Act-1948.


Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) used to conduct NEET, but this year the examination conducting body assigned by the government for NEET is National Testing Agency (NTA).NTA has been established as a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions.
