NEET 2019 Counselling in Karnataka: KEA issues Instructions on Verification of Documents

Karnataka: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued a list of instructions regarding NEET 2019 Counselling for MBBS and BDS Admissions to medical and dental colleges in the state.


Candidates, who intend to pursue MBBS and BDS courses from the state-based Government Medical Colleges, Private Medical Colleges, Institutions, Universities; can now check the list of instructions related to verification of documents to be submitted for NEET 2019 counselling mentioned below.



Instructions


Schedule for Verification of Documents is hosted on KEA Website.


The candidates have to attend the document verification process as per the schedule with all the necessary original documents and one set of self attested photocopies of the same. Please read the “Information Bulletin – 2019” for submission of original documents as per the eligibility of the candidate.


The verification of documents will be conducted at all Helpline Centres hosted on KEA Website.


However, NRI / NRI WARDS / PIO / OCI / FOREIGN NATIONALS / and candidates eligible to claim category-2 to category-8 belonging to St. John Medical College have to attend verification at KEA, 18th Cross, Malleswaram, Bangalore only.


The candidates who have registered through online and declared and paid the registration fees are only eligible to participate in the verification process.


Candidates have to be personally present for the document verification with all the required original documents as per their eligibility and strictly adhere to the time schedule published on the website. Original documents are verified against the computer data that has been furnished by him/her in his/her online registration application form. The eligibility claimed during online registration, is subject to document verification for the respective eligibility criteria.


Please note that SC / ST / OBC / Linguistic Minority eligibility criteria are applicable to Karnataka SC/ST/OBC/Linguistic Minority candidates only.


Original documents to be produced by the candidates should be in Kannada or English language. Please provide English transcript if in any other language (attested by the Competent Authority).


Candidates have to wait for their turn for verification of documents and they are advised to make their return / onward journey arrangements only after completion of the verification process. Requests to verify the documents before their time schedule will not be entertained. Candidates have to co-operate with KEA for smooth functioning of the process.


Those Persons with Disability candidates who have appeared for Medical Examination at Victoria Hospital, Bangalore from 17-06-2019 to 24-06-2019 and declared as eligible by the committee have to attend the document verification along with a certificate issued by the Competent Authority are only considered to claim seat under Persons with Disability.


Non-Karnataka candidates are not eligible for reservation. Hence, in the UG NEET-2019 examination, if they have scored the required minimum marks or above fixed for unreserved category as per the qualifying criteria i.e., 50th Percentile, then only they are eligible to register / verification for admissions through KEA or for any other seats in the state of Karnataka. Please note that SC/ST/OBC eligibility criteria are applicable to Karnataka SC/ST/OBC candidates only.



INSTRUCTIONS TO KARNATAKA CANDIDATES WHO HAVE ALREADY VERIFIED THEIR DOCUMENTS


1. Candidates who have completed their document verification as per their CET-2019 rank (Engineering etc), as per CET-2006 Admission Rules (who are holding verification slip) need not attend the Medical / Dental document verification once again in case they have not changed any reservations. Such candidates should print the verification slip for Medical / Dental from their student login from 25-06-2019 to 27-06-2019. Please note that the Medical / Dental Verification slip is the only valid document for UG NEET 2019. The list of candidates who have verified their documents as per their CET-2019 rank but not changed any reservations for UG NEET 2019 will be hosted on the KEA Website for the information of the candidates.


2. However, those who have edited/changed any reservation as per Government of Karnataka norms or those are eligible to claim Linguistic Minority or Religious Minority or NRI seats or specific reservation in respect to St. John Medical College seats, then they have to submit such relevant original certificates/documents and attend the document verification with the following schedule:
