NEET 2018 results to be declared on June 5

Vijayawada: NEET UG results will be declared in the 1st week of June. The Medical Council of India(MCI), meanwhile, has released the counselling schedule for NEET UG 2018.


The results of NEET UG 2018 as per schedule will be declared on June 5; with the first phase of counselling under the all-India category taking place between June 12 and 24. This would immediately be followed by the State-wise counselling between June 25-July 5.


Andhra Pradesh, the earlier exception has now become part of the national quota, resulting in 15% of the state seats being filled under the all India category.Nearly 49,000 candidates from Andhra Pradesh have sat for NEET UG 2018.


With 1,900 seats in all the government colleges across the state, 15 percent will be filled in the national quota, leaving the state with 1,625 seats. Alongside this approximately, 2,000 seats from private colleges will be part of the State kitty and only 50 percent of them will be under convener quota. Totaling the seats under the convener quota to be 2,625.


Appala Naidu, Registrar of Dr. NTR Health University speaking to Express, said: “The State students will be benefited if they can secure ranks below 10,000 in the all-India category. This will be a major advantage as a large number of students will be able to secure more seats in national quota. Also in State quota, the seats will be filled based on the State ranks.”
