National Board of Examinations launches Online Accreditation Application Portal for Hospitals

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, National Board of Examinations (NBE) has informed that it has introduced an "Online Accreditation Application Portal (OAAP)" from the year 2018.

The body clarified that all the information for the accreditation will be communicated through the same only

It is mandatory for all NBE accredited hospitals/institutions to get registered with this portal so that any information/notices/circular/Status of applications (2018 onwards only) etc. pertaining to accreditation with NBE could be communicated through this portal. Annual Review of NBE accredited departments shall be undertaken 2018 onwards. This portal shall be the only window to complete the same. The hospital / Institute already registered with OAAP need NOT register again.

The cut-off date for registration of Hospital/Institute with Online Accreditation Application Portal is 31st May 2018. NBE also clarified that the hospital has to identify a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for communications with NBE

As per the sub-para no. 3.28 of Accreditation Information Bulletin – 2018:

"The hospital can identify one of the hospital functionaries as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the purpose of communicating with National Board of Examinations regarding accreditation related matters. The mobile number and email ID of Single Point of Contact (SPOC) ONLY shall be used by NBE to communicate with the hospital for all Accreditation related matters. National Board of Examinations shall not entertain communications from other email IDs/mobile numbers."

However, once the online registration process is completed, the applicant hospital can update/modify the details of SPOC later at any point of time under the "Update Profile" link of Online Accreditation Application Portal using the registered username & password of the hospital.
