MP: Devi Ahilya Paramedical College, Director booked in a case of forgery and cheating
Indore: Ajay Hardia, Director,Devi Ahilya Paramedical College, has been found guilty of forgery and registered for the same by the Danyogitaganj police. Hardia has been registered in a case for shifting 17 students from one course to another. It is further alleged that he ensured that the shifted students sat for the course exam they were shifted to.
The 17 students who were shifted by the Director moved from the Diploma in Operational Research (DOR) course to the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology(DMLT) course.
The DAVV administration had in September written to the police seeking an FIR against Hardia, in a case of cheating and misleading the students of the university.
"On September 1, the varsity submitted a complaint against the college director. On the basis of our probe, we found the allegation to be true. We have booked the director for forgery," said, Sanyogitaganj police station incharge Kamlesh Sharma
According to information, the college had permission to admit 50 students each in both its DMLT and DOR course. However, the college admitted 65 students in its DOR course. Since the DMLT saw the exit of 29 students in the middle, the college shifted 17 students from the DOR course to it, a little before the exam.
The malpractice prevailing in the college was discovered by Prajwal Khare, the Deputy Registrar (Exam), at the time of declaration of result. Mr. Khare immediately took action by withholding the result of the students shifted from the DOR course .
A DAVV inquiry revealed malpractices on the part of the college, and the revelations were tabled before the executive council of the university.
The Executive Council issued a directive to the varsity administration to register a case against the college for cheating the students. This resulted in the Examination Controller Ashesh Tiwari filing a police complaint, and also seek an FIR against the college.
Meanwhile, students who were affected due to their results being withheld, demonstrated outside the university saying that they should not be victimized for the wrong doings of the college.
