Monkey Attack : MBBS student falls off hostel floor, condition critical

Agra: In a tragic accident an SN Medical College MBBS student in a bid to escape an attacking langur and a troop of monkey followers, fell off the 2nd floor of the College hostel. The boy is believed to have suffered severe injuries and is presently admitted to the SNMC hospital’s ICU, where his friends got him admitted, immediately, after the fall.


Ajeet Yadav, the boy in question was standing in the balcony brushing his teeth, when he was suddenly attacked by this ferociously wild band of monkeys, said his other hostel mates. According to them, in a bid to escape the animal attack, he ran and slipped to fall off the 2nd floor of the hostel.


Yadav a 1st-year MBBS student, hails from Farrukhabad and had shifted to room number 79 on the second floor of GD Pant Hostel on MG Road, a few days ago.


Dr SK Mishra, the SNMC, Principal-in-charge, informed Ajeet’s father Dr. Jasraj Singh, immediately. Dr Singh is a practicing physician in Farrukhabad. “Ajeet is under treatment by a team of senior doctors. If required, we will refer him to AIIMS, Delhi,” stated the principal to the TOI. The incident had taken place at 10 am.
