Meerut: 13,000 medical aspirants to appear for CPMT 2016
Uttar Pradesh: A massive number of 13,000 medical aspirants are likely to take the CMPT, to be conducted in Meerut on May 17, 2016.
The district nodal officer, Professor HS Singh, pro-vice chancellor of Chaudhary Charan Singh University is leaving no chance for a security lapse, and is reported to have directed the placement of enough police officers, and static magistrates at the 13 centres, to the administration.
Even extra measures to beef up the security at bus stops and railway stations have been kept in mind. The chief secretary of UP government, Alok Ranjan has administered instruction to the nodal officer, through a written note, that security be deployed at all the arrival points of large rush of students for the exam.
In addition, the secretary’s official note implied few important points directing the district magistrate and SSP to give full security proof at the exam centres.
The transfer of question papers from the treasury to the centre should be 100% secure. To ensure complete safety, there are more instructions in the letter, clearly directing the fact that question papers, instruction booklets and OMR answer sheets should be transferred from the treasury under full-proof police security on the exam date. Besides, it is the responsibility of the DM to make sure that there is no photocopy shop open (specifically in the periphery of 500 metres of the exam centre), on the day of the exam as well as one day prior to it.
Professor Singh told TOI, "We have informed the district magistrate as well as the SSP about the CPMT test on May 17 and provided them a copy of the letter we have received from the chief secretary. Besides, all the 13 exam centres have been instructed to take all the necessity steps to conduct exam peacefully."
