Medical students in Goa will have to execute one year bond

Panaji: The MBBS students of government-run Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here will have to sign a bond stating that they would work at the hospital for one year after passing out.


Health Minister Vishwajit Rane made this announcement.
Health Department had taken a decision that MBBS students passing out from GMCH will have to serve the institution for one year, Rane said.

Every year, 150 students pass out of GMCH, Rane said, adding that people must benefit from the expertise of these doctors.

He also said that 'hospital information system' would be introduced for online booking of appointment at outpatient department (OPD).
