Coimbatore: A group of students from the Coimbatore Medical College continued their protest for the 19th consecutive day against the alleged irregularities in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) examination conducted across Tamil Nadu recently.

The protesting students have alleged disproportionate weightage, confusion in allotment of examination centres and other problems. Carrying placards, the students voiced their demands from the administration.

Across parts of Tamil Nadu, scores of doctors have been protesting and demanding 50 percent service quota and reservation in post-graduate medical courses across the state. Recently, the Madras High Court had overruled the old method of calculating the incentive marks for in-service doctors in remote and hilly areas during PG admissions in line with MCI prescriptions.
