Andhra Pradesh: Following the news of cancellation of EAMCET-3, medical aspirants who had earlier appeared for AP EAMCET are now rushing to secure their admission in medical colleges in the state.

Even though an official notification from the state government has not been issued, there is a high probability that EAMCET-3 is likely to be conducted. The date of the exam is expected to be announced soon. With this unexpected development, students are both worried and anxious about the idea of appearing for a medical test yet again. As a result of which, they are now pinning their hopes on getting admission through AP EAMCET and NEET both.

The AP web counselling will start from August 6. Many students have blocked their seats for the counselling, to avoid any stress of writing another medical entrance test.

Harinath Reddy, father of Sai Sushrutha Reddy, who secured third rank in Telangana Eamcet and 18th rank in AP Eamcet implied in his statement even though his daughter will appear for EAMCET-3, yet they will block a seat in AP to secure admission this year. Only after the EAMCET-3 result a final decision will be taken.

Arpita Rao, mother of Ankith Reddy, who secured fifth rank in Telangana Eamcet-II implied that her son is left with no choice but to consider admission in AP. She further opined that "Although the government should have debarred students who benefited from the paper leak and let other students go ahead with the counselling process.

Even students from AP who were keen to take admission in Telangana medical colleges are now rushing to seek admission in their own state.

"We are extremely frustrated with the Telangana government's decision. My daughter will not re-appear for Eamcet-III and we have decided to go ahead with her AP rank. We hope to take admission in Andhra Medical College in Visakhapatnam," said Balaji Thappeta, father of Tejaswini Thappeta to TOI, who secured seventh rank in Telangana Eamcet-II and 29th rank in AP Eamcet.

Close to 18,000 candidates from AP took part in EAMCET-2 in Telangana recently.
