MCC: Notice Regarding Reverted Seats

Medical Counseling Committee has issued a notice regarding reverted seats.

"With reference to phone calls/ emails being received by MCC regarding All India reverted seats being filled by All India merit list and not state merit list , it is hereby clarified that as per scheme of All India Quota PG Online Counselling approved by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in I.A. No. 10/2016 in I.A. No. 16/2012 in Civil Appeal No. 1944 of 1993 filed by Anand S.Biji V/s State of Kerala & Ors, order dated 12.02.2016, the (resigned/non- reported) All India Quota PG seats (of 50% AIQ-2018) were to be surrendered (reverted back) to the respective States after conclusion of Round-2 of All India Quota PG on 23.04.2018 Online Counselling," the notice said

"The seats which are reverted back to states following All India Round II online Counseling are
deemed to be converted into State Quota seats. Hence it is the prerogative of State Counseling Authority to take a call on procedure of counseling. Candidates are requested to contact the State DME’s for any clarification as these seats which are reverted from All India Quota are now State Quota seats. Any reservation in terms of In-Service/ SC/ ST/ OBC will be as per the policy followed by respective State Government. MCC/ DGHS/ MoHFW has no role to play in this matter." the notice added
