MCI Gazette notification specifies MBBS admission Schedule

Through a recent Gazette notification, the Medical Council of India has notified the time schedule for completion of the admission process for first MBBS course for the academic year 2018-19 onwards.

The notification specifies that the Medical Council of India with the previous sanction of the Central Government, has made the following amendments in the "Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997", namely:

In Clause 7(6) of the "Regulations on Graduate Medical Education 1997", subclause 7(6AAA), which was added vide Gazette Notification No. MCI-34(41)/2017-Med./122452, dated 04.07.2017 shall be substituted as under:-

7(6AAA) –The Universities and other authorities concerned shall organize admission process in accordance with the Time Schedule indicated in Appendix 'F'.''

3. In the "Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997" Appendix 'F' shall be substituted, as under:—

TIME SCHEDULE FOR COMPLETION OF THE ADMISSION PROCESS FOR FIRST MBBS COURSE FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-19 AND ONWARDS
