MBBS Round 2 Counselling 2019 CANCELLED: UP DGME issues notice
Lucknow: The Directorate of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh (UP DGME) has cancelled the process of Round 2 NEET counselling session for MBBS and BDS courses.
The confirmation to this effect came via a recent notice uploaded on the official website of UP DGME which clearly mentioned: "NEET UG 2019 Second Round Counselling has been cancelled till further order".
The counselling authority has started the Round 2 counselling process from July 15 for students seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses, However, it was stopped. Due to the cancellation of Round 2 Counselling, UP NEET UG Second Merit List which was about to be published on July 19, 2019, was not released.
"The new schedule for Round 2 counselling will be announced soon", the notice further added without mentioning as to why the counselling has been halted.
The Directorate of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh (UP DGME) is conducting the counselling for state quota seats. NEET 2019 passouts who will complete the Uttar Pradesh online registrations for MBBS/BDS 2019 will be eligible for admission to around 3920 MBBS and 2251 BDS seats offered by government and private medical colleges of the state.
