MBBS Admissions 2019: UP DGME releases Revised Schedule for Round 2 Counselling after Cancellation

Uttar Pradesh: The Directorate of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh (UP DGME) has released the revised schedule for the Round 2 MBBS Counselling 2019 after cancelling the session recently.


The Directorate of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh (UP DGME) is conducting the counselling for state quota seats. NEET 2019 passouts who will complete the Uttar Pradesh online registrations for MBBS/BDS 2019 will be eligible for admission to around 3920 MBBS and 2251 BDS seats offered by government and private medical colleges of the state.

The counselling authority has started the Round 2 counselling process from July 15 for students seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses, However, it was stopped. Due to the cancellation of Round 2 Counselling, UP NEET UG Second Merit List which was about to be published on July 19, 2019, was not released.

Now, the Directorate of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh has resumed the second round of NEET Counselling for MBBS and BDS courses.

Candidates who are vying for admission to MBBS and BDS courses can view the counselling schedule mentioned below as uploaded on the official website of UP DGME.

Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that five new medical colleges will be opened by the end of this month in Uttar Pradesh, Medical Education Minister Ashutosh Tandon had stated. He said 1,000 MBBS seats will also be increased in the state this year from the present 1,990.
