The All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Post Graduate 2017 examination results are out and a student from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, Dr Pawan Goyal has bagged the 1st rank in the exam.

This was the second attempt given by the doctor at the said exam. At the previous attempt he had secured 78th rank in the exam. Speaking to Medical Dialogues team, Dr Pawan said, " I began my preparation in the third year of my MBBS. For my preparation, i depended solely on the regular textbooks and rarely referred to various guides which are available in the market. I was focused on doing my MD in Medicine from AIIMS and hence despite a decent score at my last attempt, I decided to prepare harder and gave the exam again. "

Elaborating on his key to success, Dr Pawan added, " I set deadlines for myself for course completion of each subject, which i religiously followed. The remaining time i dedicated to revision. The logic is simple here. The more you revise, the better your preparation

For his marvelous achievement, the doctor was also recently felicitated by Maulana Azad Medical College Old Students Association ( MAMCOS) during a ceremony at the college. The felicitation was done by Dr Mukesh Bhatia , Vice President MAMCOS.
