Maharashtra: A medical intern at GMC Aurangabad was found unconscious in the hostel building. The 24-year old intern was found on the 1st floor of the three-storey building. What makes the situation very critical is the fact the intern has not as yet gained consciousness.

Hospital authorities in their statement have confirmed the news and his family has rushed to Aurangabad from Buldhana.

Officials in addition implied that the young medical intern is reported to be partying with some fellow students. After he reached back to his room, he received a call. This call was received on his cellphone, after which he reached the terrace. There is no more clues on what happened next, the officials implied.

It was his room partner who got anxious and went looking for him, after he didn't return to room. His room partner was however, unable to find him. His room partner then came back to his room, and felt asleep, implied the officials.

It was then on Sunday, almost at 7.30 in the morning, when some students found the intern unconscious. He was lying on the slab of the 1st floor. The fellow interns informed the concerned authorities immediately. Following which, he was admitted in the casualty ward of the medical college hospital.

The GMCH-based police outpost has recorded a medico-legal case and is awaiting the injured to recover and record his statement. He has suffered a head injury, leading to internal haemorrhage, and is being treated at the anaesthesia ward of the hospital.
