KGMU Plans to Change Curriculum Pattern

Lucknow: To provide students an updated and changing pattern of medical education, King George's Medical University (KGMU) has decided to change its curriculum structure by adding the latest pattern in the course content of its Medical education.

A committee of senior teachers including Prof Mastan Singh, Prof SK Das, Prof Nar Singh Verma, Prof Punita Manik were appointed by Vice-chancellor Dr Ravi Kant of KGMU for re framing of curriculum.

According to the University Vice Chancellor , "medical science is an everyday changing concept and our campus students should be abreast with the latest knowledge," reported TNN

The committee is supposed to submit its report within a month so that latest changes can be include in the coming academic session.

The final changes will be done by the Medical Council of India (MCI) however, that would happen in a gap of years." The committee, however, will give suggestions on a monthly basis, so that anything that students learn is added to subject curriculum," Vice chancellor Dr Ravi Kant added.
